My new book Machine Learning Q and AI is now complete! It's aimed at researchers and pracitioners who completed an introductory machine learning, deep learning, or AI course and are seeking to learn about more advanced topics. Our paper Deep Neural Networks for Rank-Consistent Ordinal Regression Based On Conditional Probabilities was accepted for publication! In this paper, we propose the CORN method to convert any deep learning classifier (convolutional neural network, recurrent neural network, transformer-based LLM, or multilayer perceptron) into a ordinal regression model for data with ordered responses (e.g., stars for Amazon product reviews).
